Do I need internet access at the depot or are there any special requirements?

Dependant on environmental factors, eg concrete warehouses.

Is there a maximum number of containers I can put through in a batch?

No, there is no maximum batch size, however, there is a maximum payout limit of $1000 on the Cash Redemption Terminal (CRT) as a safety feature.

Are there any restrictions on who can operate the Auto Redemption Terminals (ART) and Manual Input Station (MIS)

Yes, depot staff are provided with a Radio Frequency Identification Card (RFID) to start and end batches and use the Manual Input Station (MIS).

Do I need to maintain the machinery?

Maintenance is crucial to ensure the correct functioning of any of CDS terminals. Our online training includes best practices for maintenance, but if you need a refresher CLICK HERE to look up all Maintenance video instructions.

What happens if depot staff lose or damage the RFID card?

They simply call out the CDS Support Team who will disable the lost RFID card and activate a replacement.

Where do we purchase paper for the receipt printers? +

Printer paper is a common size supplied all around Australia, ask our CDS Support Team to locate your closest supplier.

Our support team is Australian-based and available 7 days a week. Head to Help Centre for more details.

How do depot staff learn to use the equipment?

Training is provided to depot staff when equipment is installed and easy to understand Training Videos are provided online to any new staff.

Will the machinery be able to count damaged containers?

Yes, our AI Vision Technology can recognise damaged and crushed containers if they are eligible containers, there is no reliance on reading damaged barcodes.

Attention! Depot operators must check batches for any ineligible containers as well as broken glasses and containers that could present a hazard. No container in a hazardous condition should be returned through a CDS terminal.

Where is the machinery made?

All our equipment is developed, manufactured, and supported in Australia.

How many containers can an Automatic Redemption Terminal (ART) count?

An Automatic Redemption Terminal (ART) has a throughput of approximately 7200 containers per hour.
